OFW Family Singing Idol Season 2

DZME AM, Department of Labor and Employment, Philippine Overseas Employment Administration and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration launched the Season 2 of OFW Family Singing Idol this month. This initiative is to recognize the talents of Overseas Filipino Workers and their families.

The Philippine-wide family singing competition is open for amateur singers, 16 years old and above. The group contestant must have a family member working/worked as an OFW and must not have won any major prize from any of the current national singing competition. All interested contestants must go to their respective OWWA’s regional office and pass the audition to have a chance to represent their region.

The weekly performance is aired live through DZME’s programme ‘TINIG@HIMIG’. Each performance is recorded and posted on DZME’s Facebook Page and Regional FB group. The winners will be determined based on the highest number of ‘Likes’ on each entry posted.

Five thousand pesos (P5000) cash prize and gift checks will be awarded to weekly winners. Monthly winning families awaits with P5000 cash prize and 2-year scholarship grant. The OFW Family Singing Idol Season 2 champion will receive P10,000 cash prize, P50,000 worth of gift checks from Duty Free and a 4-year scholarship grant.
